November is National Novel Writing Month! You could join the thousands of people across the globe (including many students here in the Roaring Fork Valley) putting pen to paper on November 1st with the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59pm on November 30th.
That’s right – National Novel Writing Month, affectionately called NaNoWriMo, challenges people, adults and youth alike, to write an entire novel in just 30 days. For support, writers sign up on the NaNoWriMo website, where they can track their progress, connect with other writers, and get pep talks.
The organization’s tag line is “The world needs your novel.” We at Aspen Words believe that’s true! They also state that “NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.” If that’s you, we hope you consider taking the plunge this November. If you do, make sure to share your experience and your work with Aspen Words!
