WINTER WORDS: Feb 13 with National Book Award winner ADAM JOHNSON

The Aspen Words staff shapes the Winter Words series with great care each year. Our aim is to introduce readers to some of the best writers publishing today, in a wide range of genres. Some will be well-known audience favorites. Others, though perhaps less known, will open unexplored worlds. One thing is certain: attendees leave these evenings with something new to think about, inspired to keep reading. Learn More

Writers in the Schools
Introducing students to contemporary writers

What makes someone love reading? It’s different for everyone. Aspen Words aims to reach and inspire young readers by introducing them to working writers. We bring some of the country’s most respected poets, novelists, creative nonfiction writers, and journalists into local classrooms to talk about what makes them tick as writers, and to share the stories behind their work.
